Vancouver, WA - The Greater Vancouver Chamber (GVC) proudly announces the success of its Nonprofit POD (Pathways to Opportunity and Development) program, presented by Umpqua Bank. Over the past year, this initiative has empowered more than 130 nonprofit organizations and engaged over 400 nonprofit professionals across Southwest Washington, providing vital resources, training, and connections to strengthen the region’s nonprofit sector.

“Umpqua Bank is proud to have sponsored the Greater Vancouver Chamber’s Nonprofit POD for the second year,” said Amy Davis, SVP/Retail Business Banking Director at Umpqua Bank. “Nonprofits in Southwest Washington play such an important role in building strong and prosperous communities across our region. This partnership provides much-needed training, networking, and development to support their valuable work.”

The Nonprofit POD program offers a unique platform to strengthen nonprofit organizations by providing access to a robust network of experienced experts, innovative training sessions, advocacy opportunities, and civic engagement initiatives. Throughout 2024, workshops covered essential topics, including fundraising, strategic planning, volunteer management, donor retention, legal compliance, Form 990 filing, board engagement, nonprofit pitching, and more.

Participants in the Nonprofit POD program have shared that the workshops have been transformative, helping their organizations improve operations, engage more effectively with their communities and donors, and achieve greater impact.
